"Life is like an old time train ride. With twists, turns, and unexpected stops. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride." - Gordon B. Hinkley.
I am grateful for my glasses. Yes, these are the ones that I wear on my face. I remember when I first realized I needed glasses. I was sitting in the back row in the 5th grade and I couldn't read the black board. I told my mom this and she just told me to sit near the front. It wasn't until I was in the 6th grade that I had my eyes tested by the Lions club at school. They sent a letter home to my mom. Then and only then was I taken to the eye doctor. A week later I could see again. I looked at the mountains surrounding Logan and they were suddenly so clear. What a blessing it was, and still is, to see clearly.
I am thankful for carpet. I hate putting my bare feet on a cold floor. I love feeling the carpet on my bare feet. So fuzzy.
I am thankful for grass. I love feeling the cool grass in between my toes. I love how it adds to a landscape. I also love how it is a classic sign of spring and warmer weather.
I am grateful for a brain that functions normally. I have grown up around people with special needs my whole life. Either my dad or other friends of my family have had special needs in one way or another. What a blessing it is to be able to function as a "normal" person.
I am thankful for my feet. I love my feet. Funny how people often hate their feet yet they do so much for us. When was the last time you had to hop on one foot to get anywhere? I am so blessed to have good feet with Noyes toes.
