Day 7

Today I am thankful for the scriptures and the comfort and growth that I find in them when I apply their precepts.  I love that moment of peace that comes from the renewal of my spirit when I take a few moments and read them.

I am thankful for my warm coat.  I walked out of my work today and I was cold.  I bundled myself up in my coat and I was warm again.

I am thankful for hot running water.  Have you noticed how many times we depend on running water?  When I was younger I used to go with my dad and step-mom to their cabin in Montana.  There was no electricity and no running water.  We had to haul it from a spring that was out in the front yard and heat it.  What a blessing it is to come home after a long day listening to customer complaints and to take a hot shower to relieve the stressful feelings of the day.

Which brings me to another point.  I am thankful for electricity.   I am very dependant on that ac/dc.  I am thankful for those with the pioneering spirit who bring this great convenience to my home 24/7.

I am also thankful for the furnace that runs nice and warm.  I can walk in my apartment no matter how cold it is outside and warmed soon by that great thing in my closet.
